This informal social get-together with drinks and snacks reconnects Club members after the long winter to celebrate the new golf season.  Come see old friends and meet new members.  Social only, no golf.  Open to members of the TDMGC and TDWGC.

The Ice Breaker
6/12/2022, Sunday at noon, shotgun start.

Our annual season kickoff tournament and mixer is always a favorite and well attended.  The name isn’t by accident – ice on the course is not surprising!  Shamble format with teams assigned by the pro shop.  Food, drink and slightly exaggerated golf stories immediately following play.  Open to all TDMGC members; TD Cup Points awarded.
 
NCGA Zone Championship Qualifier
6/18/2022, Saturday at 8am, shotgun start.  
Full Pass and Packs apply.
This is the first of four NCGA Qualifier tournaments the Club uses to determine who will move forward to NCGA tournaments, each with the opportunity to compete at the NCGA Championship level.  Best two balls of a four-man team.  As with all NCGA Team Championship Qualifiers, all players are eligible to play but a maximum of index of 18.4 is allowed.  Players pick their own teams, or the pro shop and Club will help pair up individuals.  Open to TDMGC members; TD Cup Points awarded.
 
North Tahoe Cup – Tahoe Donner vs. Incline Village
Date TBD, likely 6/20/2022, Monday at 8:30am at Incline Village
Established in 2021, the North Tahoe Cup  is a two-day match play competition between Tahoe Donner and Incline Village Men’s Clubs.  We will seek revenge this year by assembling our best team of 16 to go up against a strong IV team.  Volunteer to be on the team, which is also a great way to gain experience for the NCGA 12 Man Team Match Play.  Details to come in Spring 2022.
 
TDMGC Match Play Qualifier and Season Championship
6/25/2022, Saturday at noon, tee time starts.  Now scheduled in June!

The Match Play and Club Championships are TDMGC’s two main events to establish your dominance and reputation as one of the Clubs finest season players.  This Modified Stableford tournament sets the stage for individual, single elimination match play.  The top finishers along with the previous year’s Match Play Champion qualify to compete in the TDMGC Match Play Championship.  Qualifiers are seeded based on results and compete weekly, culminating in a 36 hole Championship match to be played by August 19 to determine the season 2022 Match Play Champion.  Open to TDMGC members; bonus TD Cup Points awarded.
 
NCGA Net Amateur Championship Qualifier

Tired of your partners letting you down in the team events?!  Then this is the event for you!  Put your skills to the test against the field in this individual stroke play tournament to earn the privilege and responsibility of representing The Club at the NCGA level.  Open to TDMGC members; TD Cup Points awarded.

NCGA Senior Four-Ball Net Championship Qualifier
7/21/2022, Thursday at 9am, tee times start.

The second of four NCGA qualifiers, this best ball of a two-man team tournament determines who will go on to represent TDMGC at the NCGA level.  To be eligible as a senior, players must be age 55 by early September 2021 (actual date TBD by NCGA), and as with all NCGA qualifiers players with an index higher than 18.4 must play at that maximum.  Open only to TDMGC members age 55+ by September 2021; therefore, no TD Cup Points will be awarded.

Parent/Child or Senior/Junior
7/31/2022, Sunday at 9am, shotgun start
Full Pass and Packs apply.This family and friends event is rich in history at TD, with kids who played with a parent years ago now playing with their kids.  This best ball of a two-person team tournament is competitive and fun with two flights:  Handicap where both players have active GHIN’s, and Callaway where one or both players do not.  Interpret the meaning of “Child” loosely, pair up with your grandkid, niece, nephew or even a neighbor’s kid!  No one will lend you their kid?  Anyone under 50 can pair up with anyone over 50.  Lunch and mixer following play.  Open to TDMGC, TDWGC and all Tahoe Donner property owners, don’t miss out!  TD Cup Points awarded.

NCGA Four-Ball Net Championship Qualifier

This is the last of the NCGA qualifiers where you earn the opportunity to represent TDMGC at the NCGA level.  Same as the Senior Four-Ball without restriction by age.  Choose your partner or ask the pro shop to pair you up.  Open to TDMGC members; TD Cup Points awarded.
 
TDMGC Club Championship
8/20 – 8/21/2021, Saturday and Sunday, tee times start
The title says it all!  Individual stroke play over two days.  Compete to be Club Champion by putting up your gross scores playing from the tips, or compete to be one of the Flight Champions by putting up your net scores playing from the Silver or Combo tees (seniors).  This event has it all – stiff competition, lunch and drinks on Saturday, snacks and drinks on the 18th on Sunday for spectators watching the top competitors finish, and of course the awards presentation.  Open to TDMGC members; bonus TD Cup Points awarded.
 
The Tahoe Donner Ryder Cup
8/28/2022, Sunday at noon, shotgun start.

This is one of the most popular events of the season (limited to 80 total players) and is hosted by the Men’s and Women’s clubs.  In this Tahoe Donner version two of our beloved Pros are pitted against each other, picking their Blue and Red teams.  Two-person best ball match play, with two Red team players paired up against the two Blue team members.  Match results are tallied up to determine Blue or Red bragging rights, with Pro vs. Pro as a tie breaker.  Dinner, libations and awards celebration immediately following play.  Open to TDMGC and TDWGC members and their guests (with active GHINs); no TD Cup Points will be awarded.
 
Tahoe Donner Invitational
9/8 – 9/10/2022
Three Day Event – Thursday evening, Friday and Saturday at 9:30am, shotgun start
Here’s your chance to show off TD’s newly refurbished golf course to your friends with this multi-day competitive and festive event.  Thursday evening kicks off with a registration party and mixer, along with putting and chipping competitions.  Friday starts with breakfast, then you and your guest play as a team in a best ball shamble with BBQ, Horse Race and appropriate craziness.  Sunday brings another great breakfast, best ball play and an awards dinner banquet.  Tee prizes, raffles, auction items, betting games, KP awards, hole-in-one prizes, beer stations… what more can you ask for?!?  Open to TDMGC members and their guests (active GHIN required); no TD Cup Points will be awarded.
 
The Tahoe Donner Memorial

Another event rich with tradition going back to 1978, this is the Club’s opportunity to honor those who have come before us and are no longer with us, with a portion of the entries going to charity.  Two-person scramble with flights for TDMGC members playing as a team, and other(s) for members playing with guests or non-members playing as a team.  Open to TDMGC and TDWGC members and their guests along with all Tahoe Donner property owners (active GHIN required); TD Cup Points awarded.
 
The Chapman
10/2/2021, Sunday at noon, tee times start.

The season wraps up with a fun, challenging and different two player team format – modified scotch, where each player tees off then each player plays his/her partner’s ball, then select one ball and finish the hole playing alternate shots.  Open to all TDMGC and TDWGC members along with all Tahoe Donner property owners (active GHIN required); TD Cup Points awarded.

Wednesday Games
Each Wednesday through the season, June – September/October
Join fellow Club members each Wednesday (start times typically 9am or noon) for a variety of fun, interesting, challenging and occasionally strange games.  Casual yet competitive with a variety of skins, KPs, low gross and low net awards up for grabs.  Look for the schedule to come out Spring 2022.
 
TD Cup
Qualify to participate in this Two-day event played each Spring
The TD Cup recognizes members for playing eligible events and performing well over the course of the season.  Points are tracked, and the top 14 players along with two Pros are invited to the TD Cup, typically a two-day tournament with two teams of eight playing at a course selected by the prior year’s points winner.  The Club sponsors a portion of the cost (greens fees, dinner and lodging).  A great way to kick off the new season each year!
 
NCGA 12-Man Team Match Competition
Thursdays through the season, at TD and travelling
Looking for some of the toughest competition around?  Look no further!  TDMGC plays against other Club teams in our region on specific Thursdays throughout the year; twelve players are chosen for each match, forming six teams.  The format is intense – each team has three matches at stake: two individual matches along with the team match.  Winner takes all for the day – the Club with the most points wins.  Do well enough in the regionals and the Club team competes at higher levels, culminating in the finals at Poppy Hills.  TDMGC has proudly performed consistently well in the past, and looks forward to carrying that tradition forward.
